From June 29th to 30th, a team of generous tattoo artists tattooed 109 different people throughout the two day event at Moose’s by the Creek. In addition to real tattoos, we had temporary tattoos for sale in addition to awesome event t-shirts designed by Endreas at Ben Around. Folks who attended enjoyed Rockfish Wildlife Sanctuary coloring pages while awaiting their time with an artist!
We want to express our deepest gratitude to Ben Miller and the whole team at Ben Around Tattoos for organizing Paws Are The Cause to benefit RWS. Weβre also so grateful to Moose’s by the Creek for hosting the entire busy weekend!

While many people opted to get nature-themed pieces done, we saw all sorts of heartwarming, funny, and personal designs throughout the weekend. We are honored that so many of our community members chose to get a permanent piece of art on their body at our benefit event!
In addition to our on-site tattoo and raffle ticket sales, our concurrent online auction raised nearly $6,000 dollars to lift us to our $31,405 total for the weekend. Thank you to our auction bidders for supporting our fundraiser from the comfort of your home – no permanent ink necessary.
We are thrilled at how this event performed and look forward to continuing creative fundraisers like Paws Are The Cause in the future. Before the event, we believed that wildlife rehabilitation was a cause everyone in our community could get behind. Our community proved us right!
